The first ever North American retailer exclusive LAMY! The LX Black Gold takes inspiration from the discontinued gold LX, while incorporating the hardware from the Safari Charcoal. The best part is that the black anodized LX nib will be fitted to the pen, and it will come with its own carrying tube so that you can keep the finish flawless and not worry about scratches during travel. This is a limited production of just 1,000 pieces, and is the only one of its kind to offer the LX nib and packaging, with the contrasting trim colors.
This LAMY LX ("Luxe") fountain pen features a body made from double-anodized aluminum, a translucent grey triangular grip section, and an interchangeable steel nib. There are lot of subtle details on the LX as an enhancement over the similar AL-Star model, including matching metal accents on the cap end and barrel end with a shiny diamond polish, a glossy LAMY logo on the barrel, and the laser engraving on the nib. While slightly different in appearance than the other LAMY steel nibs, they are indeed swappable as well. This pen comes with a matching anodized aluminum pen case. It also comes with a blue LAMY ink cartridge so you can get started writing right away. If you'd like to use bottled fountain pen ink, you can also purchase a LAMY Z28 converter.
Note: To ensure quality performance, LAMY tests their pens as a final step in manufacturing. If you happen to see any residual blue ink, rest assured that this is normal.

Love the pen. I have a Marron LX and love it as well. Everything about it is excellent except that at $70 it STILL doesn’t come with a converter. That’s ridiculous!
This LX pen is a very nice writing pen. I like to use it for my daily notes.
