60ml bottle of Platinum Classic Lavender Black iron gall fountain pen ink, with a built-in reservoir for easy filling. The color will darken on the page within the first 24 hours after writing, even as soon as one hour later you may see a difference.
From Platinum:
Fountain pen inks that are produced using traditional methods have many times been replaced with an ink that is made by mixing dye inks due to their time-consuming production techniques. Meanwhile, Platinum Pen is currently the only company in Japan that manufactures blue black ink in a classic way.
The ink color that is bright when you start writing becomes gradually black. It is also highly water resistant and suitable for permanent preservation. This time, we have paid close attention to the process of changes in color of the classic ink, and have released six new colors with the aim to enhance the joy of using fountain pens. Emphasis on the shading has been placed, offering a rich deep writing. Please try our CLASSIC INK that will further expand the ability to enjoy writing with the fountain pens.
My first problem is the color. It doesn’t remind one of lavender at all, more like magenta black than lavender. It kind of feels like a movie that doesn’t live up to its title. I do think the flow is a little off. I only tried it with the glass pen but even then it was hesitant.
My first review here. I received this ink as a sample with my Inkredible Box from Truphae. I was excited by its potential, and put it into the Tibaldi pen I had gotten. I am a bit of a newbie, coming back into fountain pens after many years, and when the ink was of an inconsistent flow while writing, I immediately started to blame the pen/nib. Sometimes a nice flow, sometimes thin. Putting more pressure on the nib when I wrote only helped a little and become somewhat uncomfortable. I then tried the ink in the Monteverde pen I got the next month. Same issue. When I put a different ink into the Monteverde, it flowed beautifully. I can only deduce it's the ink that is the issue.
