Jacques de Molay Limited Edition Collection
The Jacques de Molay Collection honors the legacy of the last Grand Master of the Knights Templar, a man who sacrificed his life to protect the integrity of his Order. On March 14, 1314, after years of torture by King Philip IV of France and Pope Clement V, de Molay refused to confirm false charges of heresy against the Templars, choosing instead to speak truth to power, even as he faced execution by fire.
On Friday the 13th of October, 1307, de Molay and all Templars in France were arrested. King Philip IV, heavily indebted to the Templars, saw an opportunity to erase his obligations by accusing them of heresy. With trumped-up charges, the Templars were handed over to the French Inquisition. After six and a half years of brutal treatment, de Molay was given the chance to retract his statements and live. Instead, he stood by the Order’s innocence, saying, “I do not grieve that I must die if life can be bought only by piling one lie upon another.”
The Jacques de Molay Collection celebrates this remarkable testament to courage and loyalty. Each pen is intricately crafted to reflect the solemn dignity of the Templar legacy, combining Guilloché and Hard Enamel techniques with sterling silver accents. Its design elements symbolize the endurance of the Templar spirit, embodying values of honor, brotherhood, and the pursuit of truth. This piece is limited to 700 pieces worldwide.
